Cloud 9 VS Evil Geniuses 06/17/2022

Evil geniuses are coming off a decent MSI run and have shown they are not yet capable to hang
with the best the world has to offer. However, expect a more dominant performance in the LCS
as rosters shake up and teams begin to find themselves.
This matchup would start the summer split off with a bang, if Cloud 9 bot laners Berserker and
Zven were joining the lineup today. However, like the beginning of every split LCS imports are
always late for one reason or another. In their stead, K1ng and Destinyy will be joining the main
roster.
While we think the bot lane of Danny and Vulcan were exposed as a major weak point for EG
on the world stage, they should fare OK in the LCS due to lack of aggression and skill across
the board. On the other side, this means that K1ng and Destinyy should have little trouble
getting through the lane phase. This would bode well for Cloud 9 if they could find an advantage
in another lane, but our analysts wouldn’t count on it. Specifically, Fudge and Jensen are getting
used to playing top and mid lane on the LCS stage and we predict they will be unable to get
clear advantages over Jojopyun and Impact.
We predict EG to win, due to an intact roster and good matchups across the board. Expect the
topside of EG to neutralize the Cloud9 topside long enough for Danny and Vulcan to join
teamfights and run over the game.

Matchup of the game
All eyes will be in the mid lane where rookie Jojopyun will face off against arguably the 2nd best
mid in the history of the LCS. While Bjergsen is known for a more mild lane phase, Jensen has
always been known as a “more” aggressive laner capable of standing against the best in the
world. We want to see where Jensen’s progression is currently, and how he will fare against
native mid lane talent after his 6 month hiatus from the LCS.
