100 Thieves VS Team Solo Mid 06/17/2022

100T come off a disappointing playoff run, but our analysts expected a similar result. This team
has had 1 year and a half to fix their in-game issues and inability to play a variety of comps, and
have come out having learned nothing. They continue to play one aggressive style with jungler
Closer as their battery, but fail to amount to anything else when it comes to diversifying in a
best-of series. Beyond that, their poor macro and in particular support Huhi’s borderline-illegal
engages have cost them games in the past. While they are a great team when they’re firing on
all cylinders, this doesn’t happen often enough against the best the LCS has to offer.

TSM on the other hand is coming off one of the worst splits of the organization’s entire career,
and have made drastic changes to flip their fortunes. They import LPL mid laner Maple, who
was famously on the Flash Wolves team that took down Korean teams on the world stage. To
shake up their bot lane, TSM seems to be done with ShenYi and have brought up new support
Mia to take his place. While we think both of these seem to be OK changes, this roster doesn’t
seem to be in contention for the trophy, even if they’re at their max potential.

In the head-to-head, 100T seem to be better across the board and have the macro advantage
due to keeping their entire roster. TSM will have a lot of work to do if they want to show what
they’re capable of, especially when Closer will be looking for blood in the early game. We
predict 100T to win, but it could get messy down the stretch. Our analysts hope Huhi has
checked his optical prescription and chooses good windows to engage.

Prediction: 100T Win
