We don’t have a lot to say in terms of stats, as we only have a one game sample size. Instead, we’ll talk about the abysmal draft they had, where bot laners Tactical and ShenYi drafted Senna and Rell into Zeri Leona and went down 100 cs early into mid game. Who decided that this draft was OK? While it’s just one game, the Rell counter pick should be borderline illegal, and we hope none of these draft errors continue in the coming weeks.
DIG looked good with a convincing win against IMT and look like a top 6 team in the league, far outperforming our initial thoughts of this roster. River in particular is a monster, sporting an astounding 88% kill participation and 7.5 KDA in his game against IMT. It’s clear even after just one game for Spring Split that this player is the cornerstone of the team, and we want to see more of this style of play. Additionally, our analysts were very pessimistic when it came to Blue, but he’s proved us wrong so far. Throughout lock-in and the beginning of spring split, he’s held a 3.1 KDA and 57% kill participation, making him a solid rock in the mid lane. We think they’ll rise to the top of the rankings if they’re able to beat some of the top teams, but will inevitably drop off once teams build synergy and learn to play together.
Prediction: This matchup is perhaps the closest matchup we’ll see on the day, especially because we’ve seen very little of TSM. We think that DIG has an edge on them as they’ve shown us more of their potential against the top teams, but don’t have full confidence they’ll take this win. We recommend waiting to see the draft, and look for TSM draft blunders before betting on which team will come out with a W.
